Open Question: How should I approach my first time having sex with my girlfriend?

Me and my girlfriend have been going out for several months now and we both think it is time for us to have sex.

We have talked it over many times and both agreed it would be fun and further our relationship. This is good as neither of us feel any pressure.

But last week when it came to actually ‘doing the deed’ with her, we were not sure what position was easiest to start in.

She insisted she lie down while i am on top, but, to put it bluntly, my penis just wouldn’t really go in. Because of that i got nervous and then i lost my erection and the condom started falling off. It was really embarrassing and i felt real silly.

Now she is coming over again tonight and we have decided to give it another shot. Is there any advice you might have?

Personally i don’t think missionary sounds like the best position to start in as it was awkward. Doggy? Another other advice for a poor sex-less virgin?
