Open Question: He got an erection and i didnt act on it.?

he’s 19 and has been with quite a few girls before me, I’m 17 and i havnt done anything with anyone.
We’ve been together for 7 months and have taken things really slowly but now that hes got his own place for uni etc, things will be progressing.
over the past month hes been getting slightly turned on around me for no reason, when were just sitting talking etc. Yesterday we were laying in his bed kissing and holding each other close and he got an erection… we just carried on kissing etc and didnt do anything about it.
How does it feel for a man to stop at that stage? without “finnishing the deal”?
