Open Question: Could he have had an erection while we were cuddling?

I’m just curious. Today, I was cuddling with my boyfriend on a couch. Nothing too sexual. At one point, I had my head on his hips and after a little bit, he started to move around a little and gradually pull my head up higher towards his chest. Then I realized that his heart was beating a little faster than normal. He was also kind of holding my face to his torso. I wouldn’t have been able to turn my head very easily considering how he was holding me. I didn’t dare look to check if he had one because I didn’t want to seem rude. I’m just curious. Does it sound like this is what happened to him?
